The brief historical information  

 The history of development of Thai boxing in the country begins with 1992 - from creation of professional Russian League Myai Thaw (òìíô). In December 1992 òìíô has become the member of the International organization IMTA (headquarters in Bankok, Thailand), and in 1994 the first departure of the Russian sportsmen on a Championship of the World (IFMA) was held. The growing popularity of this kind of sports (200 clubs) required transition to a new level, of the private to professional versions - for a state recognition. Therefore in December, 1995 on base òìíô the Federation Thai boxing of Russia was created, and in 1996 at last it was possible to achieve a recognition Thai boxing in Russia as official kind of sports, and the Federation was recognized by Olympic committee of Russia and the Federations were delegated the rights on development of this kind of sports in territory of Russia.

 Now, in the club "Atlanta of Neva" was opened the school of Thai boxing for the young men 12-15 years and the one of instructors of school - glorified foreman of sports of the international class Ramil Kurmantaev - absolute champion of Russia on Thai boxing among the professionals, champion of Europe among the professionals, vice-champion of the world among the professionals and vice-champion of the world among the professionals.

 Ramil KurmantaevThe representative of sport's club "Atlanta of Neva" the foreman of sports of the international class Ramil Kurmantaev once again has proved a rank great Thai boxing fighter in Europe in a weight category of 69 kgs. The international tournament on mixed fights was held on April 8 in the St.Petersburg. Seven best sportsmen from St.Petersburg and regions asserted honour of Russia in duels against several of the mixed fights from Europe - Switzerland, Netherlands, Croatia, Sweden, Czechia and France.

There were superfight by rules ë-1 - the champion of Europe (version ISKA) Ramil Kurmantaev (Russia) against the champion of the World (version WPKA) Michal Hansgut (Czechia) in the tournament . Ramil Kurmantaev won this duel and team of Russia with account 7:2 has gained top above team of Europe.

In December, 2006 Ramil Kurmantaev has added one more gold medal to the numerous awards. On the international tournament, finished in Novosibirsk, - Cup of the champions on fights without rules - he in title fight on Thai boxing (European version) has won the champion of Eurasia Dmitry Nasson and has become the Champion of Eurasia on Thai boxing among the professionals.

 

 Svetlana MichalovskyThe other representative of the club - the candidate in the foreman of sports on Thai boxing, cadet of the St.Petersburg Police University - Svetlana Michalovsky won second place in a weight category up to 54 kgs on Open Cup of Russia of 2006 on Thai boxing in April in Sochi. The silver medal on such tournament is large success of Svetlana if to take into account, that she is engaged Thai boxing of all half-year. Before, in February, she has won a championship of Russia on universal fighting.

In June 2006 Svetlana won the chapmionship of Russia in a weight category up to 56 kgs. and she was included in structure of a modular team of Russia and will act on a championship of Europe in Croatia in September this year.
In December, 2006 Svetlana Michalovsky has become the silver prize-winner of a Championship of Russia on Thai boxing in a weight category up to 54 kgs, which was finished in Goose-Crystal (Vladimir region, near Moscow).
